UFC Warriors in Cartoon Animation

While everyone is still in the middle of the euphoria of UFC 100 last July 11 after the heavyweight clash of Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir, we here in our 3D animation studio Mediafreaks would like to think how some of the icons of cartoon animation will do here. After all, one of the other more interesting fight last UFC 100 was that of the two coaches of the Ultimate Fighter Reality Series on Spike TV, so might as well think of more novelty acts for a classic UFC match.

For one, we’ll not hit on video game characters. As much as we love their 3D animation, the Nintendo Wii game Super Smash Bros. Brawl already explored that. So if you immediately thought of a Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog battle, just go play with your Wiimote. It has been explored before together with Pokemons and Solid Snake of Metal Gear Solid.

So what are we looking here? I’m thinking a bit of MTV’s Celebrity Death Match, that clay animation stop motion show which pitted celebrities together in a way which would make Perez Hilton proud.

American primetime is an easy target. Fox Network’s primetime grid is populated by family cartoon animation series hits such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, and American Dad. Just make them all huddle together inside a ring and take it out among themselves to settle who still has the most juice in them. I think this is a perfect way for fans to express their sentiments of how The Simpsons are getting boring, how Family Guy is a Simpsons’ rip-off, and how American Dad is just another family cartoon show.

The winner of this match will get to watch a non-stop marathon of Seth MacFarlane’s Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy show. Woah.

I’ve also stumbled upon a bit of the UK’s pre-school cartoon line-up and there are a couple of stop motion cartoon shows making it big there – Bob the Builder, Postman Pat, etc. Why not do away with the repetitive consonant sounds and just stick to the true nature of their clay animation format – Celebrity Death Match! Why not throw in the 2D Dora while we’re at it. This is for the ones who have had it with chummy pre-school shows (but adults should not be watching pre-school shows in the first place, so if you are pissed about them, then I think you have a problem)

Anime would be another place to explore. In their own twist of the closed cage match, why not let the cast of Naruto and Bleach settle the claim to the Iron Man match. This is the fight to settle who between this two cartoons are most intent to milk the most out of their worth by lasting very long in the air waves.

Testosterone-packed matches and sports are a good diversion from the stress of every day. But when the diversion of UFC matches is mixed with the diversion of cartoons, it can get a bit stressful. Awaiting for the next UFC blockbuster matches!
