They say the true test of the beauty of a place is when one’s heart stops for a split second because of amazement. Definitely, we think your heart will take its time to stop and wonder at these creative and death-defying man-made platforms all over the world. Our 3D animation studio here in Media Freaks will take you on a tour. The first leg of our travel starts in Austria Dach Stein’s Days Footbridge which is fondly called “the balcony of the Alps.”

The Balcony of the Alps extends to about 2,700 meters above sea level. The panoramic view of this platform includes Slovenia and the Czech Republic. Up next is the V-shaped fjord platform of Norway Fjord Aurand Viewing Platform.
The V-shape of the platform is not meant to be a slide of death. It is there to provide support for the entire platform which is 2,000 meters above sea level. Don’t worry there is a large glass barrier before the middle of the V-shape. As far as suspension bridges are concerned however, one of the more popular is our next platform: the Grand Canyon Suspension Bridge in Arizona, United States.

A death defying view like this does not come without safety precautions. Tourists are required to wear scratch-resistant socks once in this Grand Canyon platform. When it comes to the discussion of tougness, the Grand Canyon suspension bridge can withstand fourteen Asian elephants.
The Foz do Iguassu Falls group viewing platform in Brazil also merits special consideration. This platform is cleverly embedded in the paradise of Iguazu Falls. Visitors can be so up close that they have to be ready to be wet in its tropical yet cool waters.
In fifth place is the Auckland Sky Tower which is the tallest building in the southern hemisphere. However, apart from its height and engineering marvel, part of the thrill in visiting the Auckland Sky Tower is the seamless glass floor of its elevator as it takes you up, up, and away.
Australia’s Illawara Flying Road Construction took five months before its completion and was recently opened. The viewing platform is located in the vicinity of the Southern Highlands Robertson Knight mountain cliffs above.
The Switzerland Cape viewing platform, overseeing the Lagoma Guiolet, and Rock the House in Wisconsin, United States take the seventh and eighth place in our top ten. The Switzerland Cape is still a pending project while the Rock the House in Wisconsin is located in the rock above the viewing platform is a unique rooms, streets, gardens and shops constitute a consortium

Il binocolo is a fascinating metal structure observation deck, located in Italy, Trautman Siduo Fu Castle Gardens. It is reported that the telescope-shaped observation deck by the architect Mateo Thun (Matteo Thun) is responsible for the design.
Last but not the least is the Summit of Tyrol. How architects and engineers were able to put this amazing infrastructure in such harsh and frigid conditions is beyond us. But we are really in awe of how they achieved this. The Summit of Tyrol reaches 3000 meters above sea level and is located in the Austrian Tyrol’s Stubai Glacier above.
