Andy is now going to college and Woody and his toys are left alone with no one to play with them. With Woody’s excellent planning skills, they somehow get Andy to visit them sometimes but nothing erases the fact that they have to stay behind when Andy goes to college. Andy’s mom tells Andy to fix his thing for college. Andy decides to bring Woody along with him to college while he placed the others in a trash bag to be put in the attic. Andy’s mom mistakes this as trash. The toys were able to save themselves though from being picked up by the dump truck. Seeing this as a misunderstanding, Woody tries to convince the toys that Andy wants them to be in the attuic, not thrown out. The others. think otherwise and decides to hop in a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare with Barbie, (Andy’s sister’s doll). Woody, still wanting to convince them, joins them in the box.

The toys at Sunnyside welcome them led by Lots o’ Huggin’ Bear or Lotso. Ken, who was supposed to be giving them a tour, is smitten by Barbie. Lotso escorts them to eh caterpillar room where the new toys stay. Convinced that the daycare is a better place than the attic, the other toys decided to stay leaving Woody no choice but to go home alone to Andy. Woody ended up being tuck in a tree and a little girl named Bonnie sees and keeps him. They toys were so excited to have kids play with them only to find out that the kids are too young to appreciate them so they were innocently tortured – Rex loses his tail, Jesse’s hair becomes a paint brush and Buzz got drooled at.

Buzz decided to talk to Lotso about this but when he found out that the other toys knew about this all along, Ken, Big Baby and the others reset his functions and is now back to his old self – not knowing any of his friends. Bat at Sunnyside, Mrs. Potatohead, with her other eye let at Andy’s room, sees that Andy is looking for them. Woody was right all along. They want to get back and they The others asked help from Lotso so that they could leave asap for Andy only to find out that Lotso have done something wrong with Buzz. They are now imprisoned, with Buzz as their jail guard.

Woody meets Bonnie’s toys and from them he knew that Sunnyside is a toy prison. Here, he also met Chuckles – Lotsa’s comrade. It turns out that Chuckles, Big Baby and Lotsa have the same owner – Daisy. On a trip she accidentally left them. When Lotso and the others finally went back to Daisy’s, he found out that a new Lotso was given to her. Filled with contempt, Lotso was convinced that daisy replaced him. Thanks to Trixie, Woody found out that Sunnyside is just around the corner.

At Sunnyside, Chatter Telephone tells Woody that it is best to lie low than try to escape. He tells woody that he can unlock door, jump over fences but if he doesn’t get rid of the monkey who surveys the place, he will not succeed. Woody, with the team, formulated a plan to escape to the garbage chute – the only way out of Sunnyside. With the help of Barbie, they were able to figure out what happened to Buzz, thanks to Ken. They reset Buzz but to his Spanish factory set up. Because of this, he lost his inhibitions and confesses his liking for Jesse.

On the garbage chute, when they were about to escape, Lotso and his henchmen were able to catch up ion them. Woody convinces the henchmen of Lotso’s treachery. Broken, Big Baby, he throws Lotso in the dumpster. However, Lotso pulls Woody into the dumpster just before a garbage truck arrives, forcing the others to rescue him. In the ordeal, Jesse was almost rapped but the valiant Spanish Buzz saves her. A broken TV falls on him returning him to his normal setting.

The gang finds themselves on a converyor belt in a dump site. The belt isolates metals from the junk so the tioys help on to whatever metal they could find before they got eaten by the shredder. Woody helps Lotso escape with them. But they arrive on a more difficult challenge – the incinerator, Lotso was in a perfect place to save them by pressing the stop button but he left all of tehm behind. Giving up, the sotys held hands to be with each other until the end. Finally, a giant claw operated by the aloens from planet pizza rescuses them. Back on the dumps, Lotso is found by a garbage man and tied him to the front of a truck, to his dismay.

The toys return to Andy’s house in time before ha drives off to college. Woody, hearing Andy talking to his mom about “being with him” although not being physically present, he realized that he and his friends could still be there for Andy in another way. Woody he leaves a note to Andy suggesting he donate his toys to Bonnie. Bonnie and Andy play together before Andy leaves. Woody and the gang found a new home with new found friends. Ken became the new head of the toys in Sunny side and every toy was now happy.

Toy Story 3 Movie Review

Toy Story 3 was worth the wait. If all movies were given this just finale, all movies should be in trilogies. The trilogy is just right to test the friendship between Andy and his toys and the toys amongst themselves. Toy Story 3 successfully ticked our funny bones with Ken’s vanity and Buzz’s Spanish mode but most of all, it tugged our heartstings with the fact that we also love/d toys and maybe, just maybe, they have feelings too. This is one good movie that is able to teach a moral lesson without slapping it right in the viewer’s face but rather just by tickling what is in the viewer’s heart from the beginning.

We all became kids once and had toys and we all had to grow up and give our toys up – a lot like relationships. Toys or no toys, we have things and people who come and go and we must learn to move on. This universal truth is what is discussed in this film and coupled that with superb animation, Toy Story 3 is a blockbuster.

Woody’s leadership skills didn’t waver and the fancy moves are quite amazing. Buzz is his old self until we appreciate him more when he is on Spanish mode. Jesse and the rest of the gang, with Barbie, proves again to be a great team. Ken is such a character and his loyalty to both his comrades and Barbie keeps him “human” – objective and subjective at the same time. His antics are so loveable considering he is a girl’s toy (which he insists he is not)

A day care is the perfect place for toys and an unlikely place for a Mafia-like character but we have Lotso. But surprisingly, he is one of the most heartfelt characters. He is the main antagonist but because we know where he is coming from, it is heartbreaking to see him end up in front of a truck. It seems like he deserves some happy ending too – a reconnection with the old daisy perhaps? Or a new found kid who teaches him about abandonment. As a teddy bear so soft, he has a heart of stone. Because teddy bears are so huggable and loveable, they are also is the first to be torn (physically especially) when abandoned. The ironic is so real, you can bite on it and it is beautiful.

Because the story is so compelling, it entices the mind to think of what ifs. What if Woody goes to college. Will there be Toy Story 4? Now that Woody and the gang have a new owner, will there be Toy Story 4? If Bonnie accidentally left them, will there be a Toy Story 4?

Toy Story is best left a trilogy though. It is best to leave the rest to the moviegoer’s imagination because that is when things become beautiful – like when a kid plays with his toys.

Disney started up an animation division titled ‘Circle 7,’ which would have been in charge of churning out sequels for PIXAR films that would not involve the original creators at PIXAR. Entertainment Weekly published an article that said the original plot for Toy Story 3 was going to be about Buzz Lightyear having a defect. Buzz would then be shipped to Taiwan to be fixed, but the other toys find out that the toy company is just replacing the broken Buzz toys with new ones, so they ship themselves to Taiwan to rescue him. This script had to be canned when PIXAR and Disney made amends. Part of their agreement was not to further develop projects that had been planned during their fallout.

The A113 logo thats pops up in most of the Pixar films makes an appearance on a license plate on the back of Andy’s Mom’s car.

The Ken doll in Toy Story 3 is modeled after “Animal Lovin” Ken from 1988.

Lee Unkrich and the animation team agreed to shave their heads before working on the film.

All the returning characters were re-developed from scratch.

SPOILER: The plot of the movie is loosely based on the original treatment for Toy Story (1995), which had Tinny (from Tin Toy (1988)) getting lost at a rest stop and being found by a junk man, who throws him into back of his truck. Tinny meets a ventriloquist dummy and they both decide to stick together. But in the end they end up in a preschool where they’ll never get lost or outgrown.

Three-dimensional experiences are taking over the 3D <a href="http://www.media-freaks.com/category/cartoon-animation"target="_blank" target="_blank" >cartoon animation full-length feature experience at movie theaters in 2009 and Disney Interactive Studios is leading the way in video games by introducing innovative stereoscopic 3-D features in two of its premier video games this summer. G-FORCE and TOY STORY MANIA! both feature revolutionary innovative experiences using 3-D technology and are the first games for next-generation systems to fully feature three-dimensional stereoscopic technology.

<a href="http://www.wiglingtonandwenks.com"target="_blank" target="_blank" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outbound/article/www.wiglingtonandwenks.com');">

G-FORCE and TOY STORY MANIA! allow the player to choose to turn on special 3-D features in the games while wearing the enclosed 3-D glasses. Using the anaglyphic 3-D glasses, players will see the action extend forward from their television screens in a three-dimensional perspective while playing the games. Two sets of 3-D glasses will be enclosed in each package for players to experience visuals that seem to pop out from their television sets. The glasses enable both players to experience 3-D during a two-player TOY STORY MANIA! game or for an accompanying family member to view that perspective in G-FORCE. Both standard video game 3-D graphics and the stereoscopic 3-D experiences are offered in the games and can be changed by the player.

“Three-dimensional technology drives the future of entertainment and Disney Interactive Studios is leading the way in video games,” said Brian Leake, vice president of technology, Disney Interactive Studios.”The stereoscopic 3-D innovation in G-FORCE and TOY STORY MANIA! adds to the already fun video game experiences for a wide audience and extends the gameplay by creating entirely new options for players.”

Rob Neuman, a leading expert in 3-D technology and supervisor at Walt Disney Feature Animation, consulted on the 3-D effects in the G-FORCE video game with Disney Interactive Studios and developer Eurocom. Neuman has advised on the 3-D aspects of numerous Disney animated feature films.

“Like the 3-D effects in some feature films, the goal for adding 3-D in G-FORCE enabled the two miniature creatures — guinea pig Darwin and housefly Mooch — to appear to come forward from the screen, which creates a unique experience for the player,” said Neuman.”The dawn of three-dimensional technology in films has taken over the Cineplex and it’s obvious that video games are the next medium to see this trend.”

G-FORCE, inspired by the film of the same name from Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films, will be available in 3-D on the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION 3 computer entertainment system on July 21.

TOY STORY MANIA!, exclusive for Wii, is inspired by the popular new four-dimensional attraction in both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Players can experience their favorite moments from the attraction in eye-popping 3-D from the comfort of their living rooms with family and friends. The popular Pie Throw game from the attraction is represented in the TOY STORY MANIA! training level, and five additional levels based on the attraction are available as unlockables in the game’s story mode. TOY STORY MANIA! will be available in Fall 2009.

G-FORCE is a fast-paced action-platform game featuring a unique team of specially trained guinea pigs that use high-tech gadgets and specialized talents to complete a dangerous secret mission. Players control Darwin, the G-Force team leader, and housefly surveillance commando Mooch. Darwin and Mooch team up with the rest of G-Force to use their unique high-tech gadgets, stealth mastery, and pint-sized teamwork to save the world from a robot army of evil household appliances. G-FORCE features innovative gameplay with a unique sense of scale and puzzle solving that requires players to manipulate environments or enemies, including evil household appliances like waffle irons, water coolers and vacuum cleaners to complete their mission.

Published by Disney Interactive Studios, the G-FORCE game for consoles and Windows PC is being developed by Eurocom. Handheld versions are being developed by Keen. G-FORCE is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).

Directed by Academy Award-winning visual effects master Hoyt H. Yeatman Jr. — G-FORCE takes audiences on a high-octane thrill ride, proving once and for all that the world needs bigger heroes.

TOY STORY MANIA! for Wii showcases an array of entertaining games inspired by the new Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort attractions, while featuring the iconic characters and humor from the popular Disney-Pixar TOY STORY franchise. In addition to rapid-fire shooting galleries adapted from the attraction, the game includes new and original galleries and a series of mini games, all hosted by beloved characters from the movies. Three-dimensional versions of some of the galleries and games from the attraction can be unlocked for an entirely new gameplay experience. Published by Disney Interactive Studios and developed by Papaya Studio, TOY STORY MANIA! is rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
