Even with the end of all six episode movies of Star Wars in 2005, the franchise of George Lucas is still running smoothly. From video games such as Star Wars: The Old Republic and Star Wars 1313 to the TV animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars, there is no stopping the Force on this one.

Now, the MediaFreaks 3D Animation Studio Blog has learned that there will be a new and humorous take on the Star Wars Universe. Lucas revealed Star Wars Detours, an animated cartoon series that will provide an alternative take on everyday life in the Star Wars galaxy from far, far away. Here is the trailer:

This animated series will be headed by Seth Green and Matthew Seinrich of Robot Chicken fame. This will be a comedic and refreshing take on the sci-fi series many people have grown to love since the 1970s.
