In July, the MediaFreaks 3D Animation Studio Blog gave a glimpse of Disney’s latest project.. Oz, the Great and Powerful. It is supposed to be a prequel of the Wizard of Oz by telling the story of who this wizard is before he became such. James Franco has been tabbed as the Wizard of Oz or Oscar Diggs. But now it remains to be seen who will play the villainous role of the Wicked Witch of the West.
Directed by Sam Raimi, Oz the Great and Powerful shows us how Oscar Diggs is carried to Oz through a strong tornado where he was met by three good witches. It remains to be seen if Raimi can bust out of the shell of Alice in Wonderland which only had a lukewarm reception. This movie is expected in movie theaters on March 2013.
