After the MediaFreaks 3D Animation Blog posted a gif image which contained snippets of the rebooted version of Judge Dredd, we have found more details about a possible sequel. This has come from no less than one of the lead roles in film… Olivia Thirlby as Judge Anderson. Meanwhile, here is one of the behind the scenes footage of Judge Dredd shooting with a 3D camera.
In a conversation with Crave Online’s Fred Topel, Thirlby shares her enthusiasm for her role and how her character was written:
“I do, I kick major butt in Dredd. I get to kill people. I break a guy’s neck by roundhouse kicking him in the face. It was me, I did it. I learned how to roundhouse kick. I also do it with my hands cuffed behind my back so it’s pretty cool I have to say. Yeah, leather body suit, blonde hair, the whole thing. The character that Alex Garland wrote was just amazing. Probably the best action related script that I’ve read because it was really about the characters, really about this girl going through something intense. He wrote and was a very, very big part of it,” says Thirlby.
