The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey lives up to its name because it wasn’t really planned to be a trilogy. Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson returned to direct the book adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s book The Hobbit that predates the events of the famed Lord of the Rings trilogy. Because of the wealth of material, not to mention, the presence of younger versions of Gandalf, Gollum and Bilbo Baggins, the Hobbit became a trilogy. Now the MediaFreaks 3D Animation Studio Blog found an international TV spot for the first movie in the trilogy to be released on December 14.
Martin Freeman plays the role of a younger Bilbo Baggins who many know as the uncle of Frodo Baggins. He is joined by Gandalf and a merry band of elves and dwarves as they try to reclaim a kingdom that is rightfully theirs.
