Paramount made it a point to be overly sensitive with the gun scenes in Jack Reacher in the wake of the senseless shooting in Connecticut. Certain events for the promotion of the film have been cancelled as well to unite with the family of the victims. Jack Reacher is a skilled ex-military man who has encountered a messy situation. Cruise takes pride in performing all his car stunts.
