Evil Dead is one of those iconic horror films dating back to 1981 from the minds of directors Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell. Fast forward to 2013 and the MediaFreaks 3D Animation Studio Blog has learned that Evil Dead will be remade under the supervision of director Fede Alvarez. Jane Levy and Shiloh Fernandez. Don’t worry, Sam Raimi (director of the first Spider-Man trilogy and Drag Me to Hell) is still around to help with the writing and production of the film. Here is the trailer:
Evil Dead has a premise similar to the recent Josh Whedon’s Cabin in the Woods where a travelling group of friends in their 20s encounter a cabin with a Book of the Dead. This is when demons arrive in this haunt to terrorize the group until only one has survived. This remake of Evil Dead will be released in theaters on April 13, 2013.
